Famous Saloon - 2nd Avenue's Newest Hot Spot

It's #FeatureFriday once again! This week, we welcome Famous Saloon, located on 2nd Avenue, to the Nashville bar scene.

Owned by Scott Thompson and May West, Famous Saloon joined the hoards of bars up and down Second Avenue and Broadway in mid-January. However, it is not just another honky-tonk. A 23,000 square foot space, the first floor music venue and bar overlooking the river doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of this beautiful bar. In addition, they offer a full-level, 5,000 square foot private event space, The Green Room, that would put any private club to shame, featuring beautiful bar spaces, intimate seating, and an open floor plan that is customizable for the event of your dreams. Possibly saving the best for last, the Rooftop Bar is one of the tallest in the city, featuring a partial rooftop covering, misting fans for the hot summer days, and built-in heaters to keep the chill away during our cooler months.

For more information on the art inside of Famous Saloon, take a look at the News Channel 5 feature piece from earlier this month, http://www.newschannel5.com/news/local-news/famous-saloon-has-murals-country-music-ties

The building itself is just one of the many beautiful features of this bar. Bobby Hansen, Executive Chef at Famous Saloon, strives to provide a menu that is a cross between southern cuisine and bar food. When asked to describe the menu he called it "3 cords and the truth" explaining that it is "honest food" featuring such items as hot chicken and waffles. Be sure to check out their full menus on their website.

Famous Saloon features a wide variety of live music daily on their first floor, so be sure to stop in and enjoy the amazing talent Nashville has to offer. While there, be sure to try the Swiftly Drunk, which contains Smirnoff Kissed Caramel and Rumchata with a caramel swirled rim.

Check out Famous Saloon's website, and follow them on social media for a full list of their upcoming events.
